JFDA seizes unauthorized Botox injections

Friday, the Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Nizar Mahmoud Muhaidat, said the administration, in cooperation with the Royal Administration for Environmental Protection and Tourism, shut down an institution for medical supplies in Amman for selling products that were not approved by the administration. The JFDA seized a quantity of unauthorized botox injections and other medical supplies. 

In a press release, Muhaidat stated that the JFDA strengthened efforts and increased inspections targeting beauty centers and clinics, as well as medical supplies establishments. The aim is to ensure the distribution of safe medical supplies and cosmetics that are approved by the JFDA.

Muhaidat stressed that non-compliant establishments will be shut down and the necessary legal measures will be taken against them.
