Former Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications, Sameeh Maaytah, placed the responsibility for doubts about the safety of the MR vaccine on the government.

However, he believed that Monday's press conference with three ministers reflects its genuine intent to prove the vaccine's safety.

Maaytah told Roya that "the government bears the blame for not issuing statements early on before rumors and hearsay about vaccine safety started circulating."

He urged the government to "swiftly address" rumors, whether related to vaccines or otherwise.

He pointed out that "allowing rumors to persist without addressing them creates a trust gap with citizens."

Monday, the Ministers of Health, Education, and Government Communication jointly affirmed the safety of the measles vaccine in an effort to settle the controversy surrounding it after rumors and hearsay spread.
