Officials from the Highway Patrol Department arrested a truck driver who was found smoking shisha while operating his vehicle on the Irbid-Amman road.

The department announced Wednesday that the truck was also seized and handed over to the relevant authorities.

It added that the driver will face the necessary legal action for committing the traffic violation.

The department also mentioned that a motorist was caught driving under the influence of alcohol and without a valid license on Jordan Street in Amman.

Additionally, a young woman was arrested in Irbid for operating a vehicle without possessing a valid driver's license.

The department stressed that appropriate legal measures have been taken against all these individuals, who were subsequently transferred to the relevant security authorities.

The administration emphasized the utmost importance of adhering to traffic regulations, refraining from hazardous violations and maintaining focus while on the road.
