Approximately 1.7 million students commenced Sunday the new academic year 2023/2024 by returning to public schools.

The Ministry of Education disclosed that these students will be distributed across a total of 4,271 schools, with 4,062 of them directly affiliated with the Ministry of Education.

As of Saturday morning, around 16,792 students had been granted approval to switch from private schools to public schools, while approximately 7,712 students transferred from public schools to private schools.
