The Ministry of Interior has recently introduced the electronic visa service as a convenient option for travelers wishing to visit Jordan.

It basically offers them the option of applying for the visa online instead of upon arrival at the border crossing, the ministry explained.

The service can be accessed through the ministry's website or by downloading the ministry's electronic services application available on app stores.

The service is available to three categories of travelers:

• Nationalities that do not require prior approval to enter the Kingdom. 
• Nationalities that need prior approval and have a residency of at least 6 months in specific countries
• Travelers who need prior approval and already possess a Schengen visa or a visa to enter the US

The process involves submitting an application and paying the required fees online.

With this new service, the Jordanian government aims to streamline the visa application process and provide a more convenient experience for travelers coming to the Kingdom.
