Three siblings, including a 15-year-old girl, were charged by the Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court with premeditated murder, according to Article 328/3 of the penalties law.

The charges stem from the brutal act of striking their father's head with a hammer and subsequently strangling him, resulting in his untimely death.

A source close to the investigation said the 15-year-old girl will be referred to the Juvenile Public Prosecutor, who holds the authority to investigate and assess the case.

Meanwhile, the others, all of whom are in their twenties, will remain in custody pending further proceedings, confined to correction and rehabilitation centers.

The incident occurred in the northern Jordan Valley amidst a family of shepherds, where the victim and his children would work together daily in tending to their sheep. However, on the fateful day of the crime, tensions escalated as the accused daughter returned from her accused brother's house, coinciding with her father's arrival.

A heated argument ensued between the children and their father, allegedly triggered by their claims that he was withholding money and not providing adequate support, labeling him a "miser." Despite being the owner of 150 sheep, the children testified that their father did not offer financial assistance.

In a shocking turn of events, the accused son and sister reportedly restrained their father while their younger sister struck him with a hammer on his head, rendering him unconscious. To ensure his demise, one of the two girls then used a head shawl to strangle their father.

The Irbid forensic report indicated the presence of bruises on the head, although no skull fractures or bleeding were detected. However, the examination revealed a fracture of the hyoid bone around the neck, indicating the brutality of the act.
