Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh announced that Wednesday, July 19, 2023, will be an official holiday for ministries, official departments, institutions and public bodies on the occasion of the Hijri New Year.

The announcement excluded public bodies whose nature of work requires otherwise.

It called on all ministries, official departments, institutions and public bodies to celebrate the occasion and highlight its importance.

Later, the Ministry of Labor confirmed that the holiday announcement includes workers in the private sector as well.
