Friday declared first day of Eid al-Fitr in Jordan

The Grand Mufti of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Sheikh Abdul Karim Al-Khasawneh, announced that Friday, April 21, will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

Earlier Thursday, the Crescent Committee met at the Iftaa' Department to investigate the sighting of the crescent moon, which signifies the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

On March 23, Jordan marked the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

Eid al-Fitr is one of the greatest religious occasions celebrated by Muslims all over the world, which comes at the end of the Holy month of Ramadan and lasts for three days.
