UAE approves new procedures for travel to Abu Dhabi

The Committee for the Management of Emergencies, Crises and Disasters caused by the Corona pandemic in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has updated the travel procedures for citizens and residents of the emirate coming from outside the Emirates. The new procedures will go into effect immediately. 

Residents coming from the green list destinations are required to perform a nasal swab examination (PCR) upon arrival and an additional examination on the sixth day, without the need for quarantine.

Residents coming from other destinations must perform a nasal swab examination (PCR) upon arrival and quarantine for seven days, with an additional nasal swab (PCR) examination on the sixth day.

The protocol applies to fully vaccinated citizens and residents of Abu Dhabi who have a vaccination report from the Al-Hosn application.

As for the travel procedures for citizens and residents of the Emirate who are not vaccinated, those coming from the green list destinations are required to perform a nasal swab examination (PCR) upon arrival without the need for quarantine, in addition to an additional nasal swab examination (PCR) on the sixth day and tenth day. 

Unvaccinated citizens and residents coming from other destinations must perform a nasal swab examination (PCR) upon arrival and quarantine for a period of 12 days, with another nasal swab examination (PCR) on the eleventh day.
