Activists circulated on social media a video clip showing the sewage flooding inside the corridors of the ambulance and emergency department at Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid Saturday.

The video raised many questions about the infrastructure in the vicinity of the hospital, especially regarding sewage flooding, which is regular occurence in the area, despite the passage of years, with the issue now reaching within hospital walls.

Citizens said that for years they have been demanding from the competent authorities to resolve issues with the sewage network which mixes with the rainwater drainage network.

Activists noted the area has transformed into a "large health abomination," especially with the increase of temperatures.

The Irbid Health Director, Riyadh Al-Shayyab, said that the hospital administration dealt with the matter as quickly as possible and resolved the issue.
