The strikes in the Quneitra Governorate come 24 hours after a similar attack in Latakia Governorate, the stronghold of President Bashar al-Assad's family, which left one civilian dead and six wounded.

The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported on Wednesday night, Thursday, to "reports of an Israeli aggression carried out by a helicopter against one of the Quneitra areas without any casualties."

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights spoke of “Israeli strikes targeting the 90th Brigade and military points of the regime forces in the vicinity of the town of Jubata Al-Khashab in the northern countryside of Quneitra, near the occupied Golan.”

In the past years, the Israeli Occupation has launched dozens of airstrikes in Syria, targeting mainly Syrian army positions, Iranian targets, and other Lebanese Hezbollah targets.

The Latakia region is rarely hit by Israeli Occupation strikes.
