Jordan extends condolences to Indonesia after submarine sinks

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the government and people of the sisterly Republic of Indonesia after a submarine sank during a military training off the coast of Bali, which resulted in the death of its 53 crew members.

The Ministry’s spokesperson, Dhaifallah Ali Al-Fayez, affirmed the Kingdom’s solidarity with the sisterly Republic of Indonesia over this painful loss, and the Kingdom’s condolences to the families of the victims.

Earlier Sunday, the missing Indonesian submarine was found cracked apart on the seafloor in waters off Bali, the military announced.

It was confirmed that all 53 crew members were dead.

The submarine disappeared early Wednesday, April 21, during live torpedo training exercises off the holiday island.
