According to the media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) Saturday, patrols and security personnel arrested 1,203 individuals throughout all regions of the Kingdom due to defense order violations during the Friday lockdown.

The spokesman said that all individuals had the correct legal measures taken against them.

On Feb. 24, the government announced the reimposition of Friday lockdowns in Jordan, in addition to new curfew hours, in an effort to halt the sudden jump in coronavirus numbers.

The Friday lockdown, which was originally instituted in October, was cancelled Jan. 13 after the King issued a Royal directive to reopen sectors.
