Friday, Minister of Interior Samir Al-Mobaideen held a meeting with the governors of the capital, Zarqa, Irbid and Jerash, to discuss procedures related to home quarantine.

The Minister of Interior affirmed that he relies on governors, as heads of public administrations in their areas of competence, to continue to make the necessary efforts to follow up on residents in home quarantine.

He said that anyone that violates home quarantine is considered a wanted person. After he/she is caught, he/she will be sent to a field hospital and spent the rest of the quarantine period under guard.

Al-Mobaideen added that after the isolation period in the hospital ends, the person is forbidden to leave the hospital except by order of the governor who refers him/her to the judiciary to take legal measures against him/her.

Minister Al-Mobaideen said that field tours and inspections of home quarantines are continuing, in implementation of the royal directives that always affirm that the safety of the citizen and society is more important than everything.

Governors emphasized that tours of facilities and people are continuing to ensure that they adhere to defense orders and public health conditions, and that violations will not be tolerated.

The governors called on the home quarantined persons to adhere to the instructions of home quarantine and not to violate defense orders, in order to preserve their health and safety and to avoid transmitting the infection to others.
