Jordan records 16 deaths and 706 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 16 deaths and 706 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 313,557.

The death toll has risen to 4,137.

The cases are:

-252 in Amman

-216 in Irbid, including 14 in Ramtha

-65 in Balqa

-36 in Karak

-21 in Ajloun

-Nine in Madaba

- Zero in Tafilah

-63 in Zarqa

-25 in Mafraq

-12 in Jerash

- Seven in Jerash

- Zero in Ma'an

A total of 57 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 44 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 12,175 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,540 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 297,245.

There are 467 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 17,738 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 3,552,411.

Saturday, 3.98 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
