Jordan records 15 deaths and 1,250 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 15 deaths and 1,250 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 307,209.

The death toll has risen to 4,024.

The cases are:

-593 in Amman

-187 in Irbid, including 26 in Ramtha

-144 in Balqa

-65 in Mafraq

-47 in Jerash

-39 in Karak

-12 in Aqaba

-66 in Ajloun

-51 in Zarqa

-45 in Madaba

-21 in Tafilah

-10 in Ma'an, including four in Petra

A total of 59 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 72 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 14,400 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,802 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 288,785.

There are 528 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 24,560 PCR tests were conducted Thursday, bringing the total to 3,411,667.

Sunday, 5.09 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
