Jordan records 21 deaths and 1,472 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 21 deaths and 1,472 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 301,303.

The death toll has risen to 3,940.

The cases are:

  • 530 in Amman
  • 120 in Zarqa
  • 85 in Mafraq
  • 53 in Ajloun
  • 38 in Ma'an, including one in Petra
  • 34 in Madaba
  • 362 in Irbid, including 38 in Ramtha
  • 90 in Zarqa
  • 61 in Jerash
  • 38 in Aqaba 
  • 35 in Karak
  • 26 in Tafilah

A total of 105 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 85 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 16,343 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 2,091 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 281,020.

There are 645 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

Tuesday, 5.45 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
