Jordan records 16 deaths and 1,623 new coronavirus cases
Jordan has recorded 16 deaths and 1,623 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 299,831.
The death toll has risen to 3,919.
The cases are:
-537 in Amman
-463 in Irbid, including 46 in Ramtha
-139 in Zarqa
-100 in Mafraq
-41 in Madaba
-35 in Aqaba
-29 in Tafilah
-115 in Balqa
-64 in Jerash
-37 in Ajloun
-34 in Ma'an, including eight in Petra
-29 in Karak
A total of 91 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 86 have been discharged upon recovery.
There are a total of 16,983 active COVID-19 cases.
A total of 2,444 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 278,929.
There are 646 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.
Monday, 5.84 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
