Jordan records 26 deaths and 1,540 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 26 deaths and 1,540 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 298,208.

The death toll has risen to 3,903.

The cases are:

-559 in Amman

-513 in Irbid, including 73 in Ramtha

-104 in Mafraq

-64 in Zarqa

-41 in Ajloun

-36 in Madaba

-22 in Tafilah

-75 in Balqa

-53 in Jerash

-37 in Karak

-26 in Aqaba

-10 in Ma'an, including three in Petra

A total of 86 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 85 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 17,820 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 2,499 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 276,485.

There are 657 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 20,893 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 3,232,259.

Sunday, 7.37 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
