Jordan records 17 deaths and 1,271 new coronavirus cases
Jordan has recorded 17 deaths and 1,271 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 295,765.
The death toll has risen to 3,851.
The cases are:
-507 in Irbid, including 42 in Ramtha
-441 in Amman
-62 in Zarqa
-58 in Mafraq
-43 in Balqa
-37 in Karak
-36 in Jerash
-32 in Tafilah
-17 in Aqaba
-16 in Ajloun
-16 in Madaba
-Six in Ma'an, including one in Petra
A total of 85 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 103 have been discharged upon recovery.
There are a total of 20,080 active COVID-19 cases.
A total of 1,283 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 271,834.
There are 688 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.
A total of 21,313 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 3,196,868.
Friday, 5.96 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
