Jordan records 23 deaths and 1,645 new coronavirus cases
Jordan has recorded 23 deaths and 1,645 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 291,393.
The death toll has risen to 3,801.
The cases are:
- 595 in Amman
- 398 in Irbid, including 71 in Ramtha
- 151 in Mafraq
- 79 in Karak
- 73 in Ajloun
- 42 in Aqaba
- 22 in Tafilah
- 109 in Zarqa
- 78 in Balqa
- 43 in Madaba
- 37 in Jerash
- 18 in Ma'an, including two in Petra
A total of 91 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 97 have been discharged upon recovery.
There are a total of 20,970 active COVID-19 cases.
A total of 2,561 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 266,622.
There are 774 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.
A total of 21,735 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 3,126,192.
Tuesday, 7.57 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
