Jordan records 23 deaths and 2,444 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 23 deaths and 2,444 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 279,892.

The death toll has risen to 3,627.

The cases are:

-777 in Amman

-736 in Irbid, including 66 in Ramtha

-217 in Zarqa

-137 in Ajloun

-82 in Aqaba

-49 in Madaba

-46 in Tafilah

-153 in Balqa

-96 in Mafraq

-67 in Jerash

-47 in Karak

-37 in Ma'an, including five in Petra

A total of 135 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 120 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 27,009 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 3,088 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 249,256.

There are 1,041 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 19,085 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 3,002,173.

Tuesday, 12.81 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
