  • Jordan says its air force intercepted a missile and two drones launched toward its territory in the past 24 hours.

The Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army said Wednesday that the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted a missile and two drones launched toward Jordanian territory over the past 24 hours.

In a statement, the military said the missile was launched from Iran, while two unmanned aerial vehicles were also directed toward Jordan. The armed forces confirmed that air force units successfully dealt with the threats “with efficiency and professionalism.”

Meanwhile, the Public Security Directorate said its units responded to six reports of falling debris and projectiles across the country during the same period.

The directorate’s spokesperson said no injuries were reported as a result of the incidents, though some material damage occurred.

Authorities renewed warnings to the public not to gather near, approach, or tamper with any suspicious objects or fragments due to the potential danger. Citizens were urged to follow safety guidelines issued by official authorities.

The spokesperson also called on the public to immediately report any suspicious objects to security services by calling the emergency number 911, stressing the importance of relying on official sources for information and avoiding the spread of rumors or misleading reports.
