In a press statement issued on Saturday, June 13, the 12 inspection teams have intensified their oversight tours during the last period, as 104 tourist entities were inspected until Friday, and legal action was taken against breaching restaurants and hotels which failed to comply with the safety procedures.

To date, the Ministry said the campaign covered the tourist facilities in the governorates in Amman, Zarqa, Jerash, Ajloun, and Irbid, adding the violations of 81 restaurants and 23 hotels inspected are related to food preparation measures, unavailability of thermometers, failure to wear face masks, gloves, and noncompliance with social distancing.
