The Minister of Health, Dr. Saad Jaber, said "a similar" epidemiological situation will govern the Kingdom's inbound and outbound travel criteria.

Speaking during a press conference on Thursday, at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Jaber said the affected countries will be dealt with within the protocol currently in force, and in accordance to the security and health standards of mandatory, home quarantine to dodge any impact on the Kingdom's epidemiological situation.

He added that the Health Ministry is working on building a fully equipped intensive care hospital, in addition to completing the two new intensive care wards and the emergency hospital, which can receive 60 intensive care patients.

Since day one of the crisis, he noted His Majesty's directives were clear to give priority to the citizens' health and to balance this situation with economic conditions, adding the methodology used to deal with the Covid-19 matrix in each stage depends on determining the severity level of the Covid-19 infection ratio, detected during 7 consecutive days.

He noted that Jordan is a model in managing the COVID-19 crisis, adding the government will continue to carry out virus tests and improve its health capabilities by building new facilities, manufacturing medical equipment and raising the medical workers' competencies.
