COVID-19 cases who had contact with infected truck driver rise to 33

The number of coronavirus cases who had direct contact with the infected truck driver who lives in the Al-Khanaseri town in Mafraq has risen to 33, including him.

Four of these cases were recorded this morning in Al-Buwayda area in Ramtha, a source told Roya.

Earlier in the day, the Irbid governorate's Health Director, Qasem Mayas, said in a statement to Roya that 51 people who had contact with the driver underwent the COVID-19 examination, where seven of them tested positive.

He explained that 14 results were shown and the rest will be available in the coming hours.

Since the driver's case was detected, the epidemiological inspection teams collected 314 samples, where more samples will be tested today.
