An earthquake of magnitude 3.56 on the Richter scale struck the Wadi Araba region at 3:55 am today, according to the Jordan Seismological Observatory (JSO) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The quake struck the area about 45km west of Tafilah governorate, at a depth of 1 kilometer.
Earlier on April 10, the JSO reported that an earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck the Wadi Araba, 30 km west of the city of Tafilah and 20 km south of the Dead Sea, at a depth of 21 km.
