As of Sunday, April 26, the Mafraq governorate will be completely closed down and isolated from the other governorates of the Kingdom, where its residents will be allowed to move either on foot or by their vehicles from 8 am to 6 pm, the Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, announced today.

"The decision of easing the curfew measures in the Kingdom's governorates is taken after deep study and careful evaluation and is based on the epidemiological situation," Adaileh said during a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management.

He denied issuing any official decision to lift the curfew on the governorates where no coronavirus cases were reported until now, the Minister said, stressing that what has been circulated are only recommendations that are being studied by the government teams and specialized agencies.
