The government has announced today that selected sectors will reopen as of Tuesday, April 21.

The sectors are auto electricians, stationery shops, mobile and computer repair shops, jewelry stores, building supply stores, renewable energy, optical shops, electrical supplies stores, TV production and printing houses, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Tareq Hammouri, said during a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management.

Hammouri added that clothing and home furniture stores will be also allowed to operate but on delivery.

"These sectors will be operating with a manpower of 30%," Hammouri confirmed.

"We prepared a plan for Ramadan and the stocks are enough and safe," the Minister stressed.

He pointed out that if the situation gets worse, these sectors will be closed. However, if it gets better, more sectors will be allowed to operate.
