The National Aid Fund (NAF) will launch tomorrow a government-sponsored program designed to help day laborers affected by weeks-long lockdown enforced following the outbreak of the COVID-19 crisis in the Kingdom.

NAF Director-General Omar Mashaqbeh revealed that the cash assistance program will target, in its first stage, about 200,000 families, describing the program as one of the largest in years.

He added that the NAF had finalized all logistical, technical and administrative preparations to roll out the program.

Mashaqbeh also pointed out that the Fund will use the unified national registry to determine the targeted beneficiaries.
