The Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, has confirmed that Jordan should be free of COVID-19 cases for 14 days in a row before life returns to normal.

In an interview with Al Jazeera on Monday, April 13, Adaileh said that he doesn't expect life to be back to normal before the end of Ramadan.

He mentioned, "We hope the cases will decrease and that things will return to normal after the holy month of Ramadan."

He said: "We started to take a series of steps, but at a minimum, and that the number of workers should be less than 30% in factories and less than 50% in other sectors to maintain exports and local production."
