The official overseeing the coronavirus crisis in the northern governorates, Wael Hayajneh has confirmed today that for the fourth day in a row, no coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Irbid governorate.

Speaking exclusively to Roya, Hayajneh said that "hundreds of COVID-19 tests were conducted and all of them were negative, thanks to the commitment of the people in Irbid to the instructions and necessary procedures."

"Those who were in contact with infected people will leave quarantine today," he stated, pointing out that they will undergo another test to ensure that they do not have the virus.

Hayajneh indicated that epidemiological investigation teams will be present at markets, where there are gatherings, to conduct further tests.

"There are no critical cases among the patients in Irbid," he affirmed, noting that so far, 45 people were discharged from hospital and other cases will be discharged today and tomorrow.
