The Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ), Ziad Fareez, has announced that banks will open all their branches as of tomorrow from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm to provide basic services to their clients, including foreign trade, cash deposit, checks to traders, withdraw the salaries of employees who do not have ATM cards and family transfers.
Fareez indicated that the banks would provide these services with a minimum number of employees for their safety, noting that electronic banking and ATM services will be available.
He also announced that, as of tomorrow, exchange companies will provide transfer services (receiving and sending remittances) from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, and will be allowed to provide home-delivery services as well as delivering remittances through e-wallets.
These measures aim at enabling citizens to obtain basic services in a manner that takes into account the precautionary health measures for their safety and the safety of banks and exchange companies employees.
