Two-year-old child among the COVID-19 patients in Irbid

A child aging two years and a half is among the COVID-19 patients in Jordan, the founding director of the King Abdullah University Hospital in Irbid, Mohammed Al Ghazou, said today.

In press statements, Ghazou confirmed that the child is in good health condition.

He added that an 81-year-old woman is among the infected people and that her health condition has become stable.

"Two wards in the hospital were fully equipped to receive corona patients, one with a capacity of 10 beds and the other with a capacity of 16 beds," Ghazou said.

He stated that there are 13 patients in the governorate and are currently quarantined in the two wards.

"There are five suspected cases and the health officials are awaiting the results of the medical examinations," he pointed out.
