The Carrefour administration has issued an official statement after the first coronavirus case in the Kingdom was reported.

"The health and safety of our employees and customers is our top priority, and in line with the procedures that we implement to ensure the highest standards of health and safety, we have taken preventive measures with regard to one of our employees working in our headquarters, who had symptoms similar to the flu or cold, as we were instructed to seek medical attention immediately. We confirm that the employee is now receiving care from doctors and specialists, and we are awaiting more information and guidance from the Ministry of Health. We would also like to note that our employee works in the main headquarters (offices) and not in the store, which means that he does not interact with clients," according to a post published on Carrefour's official page.
