A number of holders of PhD degrees have carried out a sit-in on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, in front of the Prime Ministry building, demanding to be offered jobs at Jordanian universities.

During the sit-in, a citizen holding a PhD degree in Accounting has set his certificate on fire. 

In the video, the citizens said, "I am Dr. Salameh Al-Momani. I studied accounting and I am with 15 years of experience. Now I am here on the roadside."

"I will burn the certificate and give it up because it is no longer useful," he added.

"This certificate is from a Jordanian university and the same university requires graduates from foreign universities to be appointed," the citizen further said.
