Jordan Prime Minister Jafar Hassan has announced that the government will immediately begin the necessary executive and legislative procedures to reactivate the mandatory military service program.

The announcement follows a public declaration by Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II about the program's return.

The prime minister praised the Crown Prince's announcement and expressed the cabinet's deep appreciation for the efforts and directives of King Abdullah II and the Crown Prince in preparing for the program.

Hassan outlined the government's action plan for implementing the royal directives, focusing on two main points.

He confirmed that the government will fast-track an amended draft law for military and reserve service to the Parliament as soon as the next legislative session begins.

Hassan also announced that the government will allocate funds from this year's contingency budget to immediately begin preparations for the program, which is expected to start in early next year.

Government spokesman and minister of government communications Mohammad Momani said that a press conference scheduled for tomorrow Monday will reveal the details of the mandatory military service.
