Videos circulated over social media platforms showing a group of Sudanese citizens who removed a banner that has the photo of the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir in the streets of Khartoum after the armed forces announced that he has stepped down from the presidency on Thursday, April 11, 2019. 

The Sudanese started removing the picture of the President from one of the streets while listening to famous national music and the honks of passing protesters cars.

While waiting for the important statement that will be issued by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Sudanese confederations called upon joining the protestors in front of the Ministry of Defense headquarters in central capital Khartoum, Thursday morning, April 11, 2019.

Sudanese broadcasting authorities announced on Wednesday morning, April 10, 2019, that SAF will release an important statement upon the entrance of military officers to the headquarters which is located in Omdurman.
