Photos: Jordanian teachers protest, calling for classifying teaching as “difficult job”

On Monday, April 8, 2019, dozens of teachers staged a protest in front of the Directorate of Education in Tafilah, demanding for their employment rights.

During the protest, protestors also objected to the decision of the professional path approved by the Ministry of Education and to classify teaching as a difficult profession.

Moreover, teachers demanded a 150% premium and to raise the percentage of teachers' privilege.

Various slogans were raised, including "the professional path is an encroach upon the teachers' rights."
