Psychologist Taiseer Elias stated on Monday, April 1, 2019, that Nibal Abi Dieh's killer may have suffered from "psychopathy," which explains why he has committed such a crime.

Psychologists define "psychopathy" as "a mental disorder in which an individual manifests amoral and antisocial behavior, lack of ability to love or establish meaningful personal relationships, extreme egocentricity, failure to learn from experience, etc."

Elias stressed that juvenile rehabilitation centers intensify their efforts in reforming some of the abnormal tendencies of the juveniles who have committed crimes or misdemeanors; however, this does not mean that they address all the negative tendencies and prevent the juvenile from being influenced by other inmates' experiences.
