Around 200 thousand heads of households have applied for bread subsidies.

According to the Income and Sales Tax Department family members who work for the private or the public sector can apply for the bread subsidies, for the duration of 90 days.

However, members of the armed forces and security services, retired civilians and military personnel, social security pensioners, their heirs and beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund, are excluded from the subsidies.

The subsidy will go to those registered with National Aid Fund at JOD 33 per capita, while other beneficiaries will receive JOD 27.
