The Attorney General decided to arrest the main suspect in the tobacco case, Awni Mutee, after interrogating him on Wednesday, December 18, 2018.

General provided the investigators with information and important details concerning the facts of the case and the circumstances that the Attorney General deemed necessary for further investigation.

The Attorney General stressed the need to abide by the decision of the Public Prosecutor Judge Hazem Majali in preventing from the circulation of any information related to the case in order to preserve the confidentiality of the investigation.
