Jordanian Social Security Corporation (SSC) addressed Jordanian housewives to join Social Security.

The SSC stated on its social media: “The participation of housewives in the Social Security Program (SSP) is optional. It will provide them with safety and a decent life, by protecting them socially and providing them with future pensions.”

On May 1, 2010, The SSC offered Jordanian housewives participation in the program, which was considered a qualitative leap in the field of insurance and social protection, provided by the Jordanian insurance legislation.

More than 26 thousand Jordanian housewives have joined the SSP.

The SSC is comparable to developed countries in the fields of insurance and social security. The framework of SSC’s directions is to expand the scope of insurance coverage to include all Jordanian citizens.
