Have you seen this roundabout on social media this morning?

Less than 24 hours after it was built, the Irbid Municipality removed the poorly-constructed circle on Tuesday.

The residents of Huwwarah village had demanded that a roundabout is built to organize traffic better in their area, however, when this one was constructed on Monday, they protested to have it removed.

Huwwarah’s residents wanted the roundabout to prevent around 350 large, heavy water-carrying trucks from entering their village, to maintain its infrastructure.

However, they said that had this circle stayed, it would have caused chaos and more traffic accidents.

Jordanian social media users were very satirical and heavily criticized the way the roundabout was built, as it was placed on one side of the road only.

Irbid’s residents said that the hundreds of circles in their city are designed poorly and are the cause of killer traffic jams, especially in residential areas.
