A security source from the Public Security Directorate said in a statement on Thursday that the Royal Badia Security Directorate has caught three men who attacked voting centres in Central Badia during the Municipal and Decentralisation elections last week.

One of the men arrested was the main culprit in the attack and also a candidate in the elections.

The source explained that after the group of outlaws attacked the polling stations and tempered with the ballot boxes in Al Muwaqqar, a special investigative committee was set up to investigate the incident, which successfully identified and arrested the offenders.

Meanwhile, the committee is still searching for the other men involved in the attack.
