Safia Al Suhail, Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan, said that the victories the Iraqi army has achieved in its battle to retake Mosul from the so-called Islamic State are a win for humanity.
In a press conference held in Amman today, she said that Iraq’s next move would be to retake the cities of Nineveh and Tal Afar.
The Ambassador praised Jordan’s effort in the fight against ISIS, and thanked King Abdullah and Jordan for their support of Iraq.
She added that cooperation between Jordan and Iraq is strong in military, intelligence, political and counter-terrorism fields.
Al Suhail said that a million Iraqi refugees have been displaced in Iraq as a result of the liberation of Mosul, and thousands more have been displaced in Jordan and other neighboring countries.
