Tragedy has struck Maharashtra as Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and four others were killed when their chartered Learjet 45 crashed while attempting to land at Baramati airport on January 28, 2026. Pawar was traveling from Mumbai to attend campaign rallies when the aircraft lost control, crash-landed, and immediately caught fire.
