Four lion cubs born in April at the Kristiansand Zoo in southern Norway venture outside for the first time. "They were a bit sceptical," says zookeeper Olav Åsland.

"Their shoulders were raised a little, and they'd go out a bit, then back in a bit. It's actually quite fascinating, because it's the first time they've trusted their mum Kira, and it's lovely to see."
