A driver was arrested in Cheney, Washington, after allegedly trying to hit a child on a bike and later attempting to break into a home. 

Police say 56-year-old Wendy A. Clemente swerved her car toward the child before pursuing them on a dirt path, though no injuries were reported.

Shortly after, officers responded to a nearby attempted burglary where the suspect was found at the scene. She was later arrested and charged with attempted assault, DUI, and criminal trespassing.
