The embassy later clarified in follow-up posts that the “Death Eaters” reference pointed to some of Netanyahu’s own allies among those who left, underscoring the scale of the walkout.
“To clarify: the Death Eaters are his own allies. The point is that even some of his allies walked out. Not every country that walked out is a Death Eater,” the embassy said on X.
